Hugh Richard Bonneville Williams DL, an English actor, was born on November 10, 1963. In the ITV historical drama series Downton Abbey, he is most known for playing Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham.
As a result of his work on the program, he received three Screen Actors Guild Awards, two consecutive Primetime Emmy nominations, and a Golden Globe nomination. In the feature films Downton Abbey (2019) and Downton Abbey: A New Era, he played the same character again (2022). He has had cameos in the Paddington movies, Iris (2001), The Monuments Men (2014), and Notting Hill (1999).
