Born on December 28, 1989, George Paul Blagden is an English actor who works in both theatre and film. He gained the most notoriety for his portrayal of King Louis XIV in the French historical drama Versailles television series.
Additionally, he played Grantaire in the 2012 film adaptation of Les Misérables as well as Athelstan in the Vikings television series.

Blagden started his singing career at the age of 13, performing in a number of choirs and leading his own rock band.
At Old Buckenham, George finished his high school studies. After graduating from Old Buckenham High School, he applied for and was given a scholarship at Oundle School to pursue his acting career.
