Neal was born in Okeechobee, Florida, on September 19, 2000. Prior to changing schools and enrolling at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, he first attended Okeechobee High School.
In 2019 Under Armour All-America Game, he participated. Neal, a five-star recruit, made a commitment to play collegiate football at Alabama.
During his first season in 2019, Neal started each of the 13 games at left guard before switching to right tackle the next year.
He started for the group that captured the 2021 College Football Playoff National Championship. Neal declared after the 2021 campaign that he would miss his senior year and declare for the 2022 NFL Draft instead.
In the 2022 NFL Draft, the New York Giants selected Neal as the seventh overall pick. Neal hurt his knee in Week 8’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
