The Chicago Bears took Houston-Carson 185th overall in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He agreed to a four-year deal with the Bears on May 9, 2016.
Houston-Carson was released by the Bears on September 2 and later joined the practice squad.
On September 19, 2017, he received a promotion to the active roster.
He was re-signed by the Bears on March 29, 2019, to a one-year contract after the Bears made him a free agent following the 2018 campaign. Houston-Carson participated in every game of the 2019 season while ranking third on the team with six special teams tackles.
