Danila Valeryevich Kozlovsky, a Russian actor and filmmaker, was born on May 3, 1985.

In the Soviet Union, Danila Kozlovsky was born in Moscow, the Russian SFSR. At Moscow State University, his father Valery Kozlovsky taught marketing and mass communication. His mother is the stage actress Nadezhda Zvenigorodskaya. His siblings are Ivan, his younger brother, and Yegor, his older brother.

The exact details of Kozlovsky’s high school are unknown, although he graduated in 2002 from the Kronshtadt Naval Military School there. At the Saint Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy, he enrolled in Lev Dodin’s acting/directing course after receiving his diploma.

He played Edgar in King Lear during his fourth year of studies at the Little Drama Theatre (Theatre de l’Europe) (2006). He was given his first theatrical honour for the performance: the “Golden Sofit,” the most prestigious theatre prize in Saint Petersburg, and the Best Debut Special Prize of the Expert Council. A role in the Paris premiere of the play Life and Fate followed by the graduation play “Warsaw Melody” was the next event.
