Carlos Dunlap (born February 28, 1989) is an American football defensive end and linebacker for the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs (NFL).

 He attended the University of Florida, where he earned a National Championship in 2009. The Cincinnati Bengals selected him in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

Dunlap was born in the South Carolina town of North Charleston. He went to Fort Dorchester High School in North Charleston and played high school football for the Fort Dorchester Patriots. He has 103 tackles, 22 for loss, and 9 quarterback sacks his junior year.

He had 105 tackles, 35 for loss, and 24 sacks as a senior and was selected to play in the first Offense-Defense All-American Bowl.

Dunlap, a five-star prospect according to Rivals.com, was ranked as the nation’s No. 1 weakside defensive end in 2007.

He opted for Florida over Clemson, South Carolina, Auburn, and Tennessee.

Dunlap earned an athletic scholarship to the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where he played football for coach Urban Meyer’s Florida Gators from 2007 to 2009.
