Anthony Barr, an American football outside linebacker with the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League, was born on March 18, 1992.
He was a unanimous All-American in 2013 while playing collegiate football for UCLA from 2010 to 2013. The Vikings selected him ninth overall in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Barr grew up in Los Angeles, where he attended Loyola High School in the Pico-Union district, although being born in South Bend, Indiana.
He was an All-State running back for the Loyola Cubs football team after rushing for 1,890 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior, earning him letters in both football and track.
However, he was unable to play in the 2010 U.S. Olympic Games and missed almost all of his senior season after injuring his ankle in September. He was granted access to the Army All-American Bowl.
