For five seasons, Gill played for the NC State Wolfpack. He was A’s backup during his true freshman year and redshirted. J. Cole III is a freshman with a red shirt. As a redshirt sophomore, Gill took over as the Wolfpack’s punter. He set a school record with an average of 47.6 yards per punt on 56 attempts, earning third-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors (ACC). As a redshirt senior, he earned first-team All-ACC honors.
