Toni Braxton and Cedric the Entertainer’s joint Las Vegas residency comes years after their kids dated

Toni Braxton and Cedric the Entertainer are taking over Las Vegas with their new residency, “Love & Laughter,” at the Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas starting on April 27. This dynamic duo has a long history, as they actually knew each other way back when their kids were dating.

The idea for the unique show came from Braxton’s team, who suggested combining her singing talents with Cedric’s comedic skills to create a throwback to old variety programs like Sonny and Cher or Donny and Marie. The show will feature both performers coming out together in different acts, intermingling for funny bits, and showcasing surprises along the way.

Interestingly, Braxton and Cedric’s friendship blossomed through their kids, who used to date each other when they were young. The two artists are excited to captivate audiences with their diverse talents and have already received support from their families and friends.

While Braxton is focused on incorporating her extensive catalog into the 90-minute show, Cedric is looking forward to exploring Las Vegas outside of work, especially the golf courses. Despite a small mix-up where Cedric mentioned Niagara Falls instead of the Grand Canyon, the pair is excited to entertain audiences and enjoy their time in Sin City.
