Steve Mandanda Mpidi, born on March 28, 1985, in the Republic of Congo, is a French professional football goalkeeper who competes for both the France national team (although he can play for the Congo national team) and Ligue 1 club Rennes.
Mandanda spent almost his entire his professional career with Marseille, where he made over 600 appearances in all competitions over two spells and was a 5-time Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year champion.
Mandanda also has represented France in six international tournaments since his debut in 2008: four UEFA European Championships (2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020) and three FIFA World Cups (2010, 2018, 2022), winning the tournament in 2018.
