Shane Buechele is an American football quarterback for the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs.
Buechele began his collegiate football career at Texas before transferring to SMU.

They are believed to be together after years of marriage. As a quarterback, their boy tossed for 6,379 yards and 73 touchdowns while also rushing for 1,805 yards and 21 touchdowns. Buechele was considered one of the best quarterback prospects in his class and was invited to compete in the Elite 11 quarterback challenge, where he wowed the coaches with his accuracy and finished second overall.
With their help, Buechele attended Lamar High School in Arlington, Texas, where he was a football and baseball standout.
Despite growing up in a pro-Oklahoma Sooner home, Buechele chose to play college football for rival Texas.
Buechele signed as an undrafted free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs on May 13, 2021, after going undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft. On August 31, 2021, he was released. He was recruited to their practice squad the next day. On November 16, 2021, he was promoted from the practice squad.
