Serena was born on September 26, 1981, in Saginaw, Michigan to Oracene Price and Richard Williams. She is the youngest of Price’s five daughters: half-sisters Yetunde, Lynda, and Isha Price, and full older sister Venus. She also has at least seven paternal half-siblings.
Richard Williams has been married three times. In 1979, he met Oracene “Brandy” Price, who had three daughters from a previous relationship. They married in 1980 and had two daughters, Venus (born June 17, 1980) and Serena (born September 26, 1981). The family resided in Compton, California. Richard and Oracene divorced in 2002.
