On Wednesday, Mississippi State revealed the passing of a rookie offensive lineman.
Industrial technology major Samuel Westmoreland, 18, from Tupelo, Mississippi, was arrested. According to John Cohen, the director of athletics, the Bulldogs are devastated by the unexpected loss of Westmoreland.
“Mississippi State is a family, and we are all mourning during this trying time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Westmoreland family and everyone who knew and loved Sam,” Cohen said.
