Ryan Terk, a director, author, producer, and editor, was born on December 12, 1998, in Montreal, Quebec. After deciding that film school wasn’t for him, he immediately started working as an editor and video technician for a film distribution company.
He began as a runner at a VFX business a year later and worked his way up to production coordinator, most recently on Top Gun: Maverick. He wrote, directed, produced, and edited his debut short film, There’s Nothing You Can Do, which recently won Best Canadian Short at the Pendance Film Festival. He has had a great urge to create his original work for his entire life.

Every Friday after school, long before he was a teenager, his mother would take Ryan and his friend to the movies. In contrast to a legitimate house of prayer, it has always felt more like a religious experience.
