The English cricketer and writer Robin Geoffrey Marlar passed away on September 30, 2022. He attended Magdalene College in Cambridge and Harrow School for his education.

Marlar played first-class cricket for Sussex between 1951 and 1968 as well as Cambridge University, where he captained the team to victories over Oxford in 1951, 1952, and 1953, earning him a blue in each year.
