Richard Michael Genelle, an actor, and entrepreneur who passed suddenly on December 30, 2008, is best known for playing Ernie on the children’s television program Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
From 1993 to 1997, Genelle portrayed Ernie, the affable owner of the Angel Grove Youth Center, the most popular hangout for children in Angel Grove. He routinely hosted birthday celebrations, martial arts tournaments, neighborhood fundraising events, and school festivities. He not only gave his customers free food and drink but also helped them when they needed it.
