Ragnheiur Ragnarsdóttir, an actress and former swimmer from Iceland, was born on October 24, 1984. She portrayed Gunnhild in the History drama series Vikings.
Ragnars made her Olympic debut as the youngest Icelandic swimmer at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. She competed exclusively in sprint freestyle events. She frequently holds the Icelandic records for the 50- and 100-meter long and short courses in freestyle. She also qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

Ragnheiur claims that she has always had a passion for acting and after giving up swimming, made the decision to pursue a career in it. She enrolled in a one-year program after taking an 8-week “Acting for Film” course at New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, which she “liked.” She earned her diploma in 2015.
