American actor, comedian, playwright, and screenwriter Patton Oswalt also performs stand-up comedy. In addition to The King of Queens, Parks, and Recreation, Community, and Two and a Half Men, he has appeared in a variety of other shows.

Patton was named after General George S. Patton. Oswalt is of Italian, Irish, German, English, and Scottish descent.
On July 18, 1988, Oswalt debuted in a stand-up comedy routine. His acting debut was in the 1996 military comedy picture Down Periscope with Kelsey Grammer after writing for MADtv and appearing in his own comedy special for HBO.
He later went on to land prominent parts in movies and television series.
