Oona Castilla Chaplin, born 4 June 1986 in Madrid, Spain is a Spanish-Swiss actress. Sbe is well-known for her roles in Talisa Maegyr in HBO’s Game of Thrones, Kitty Trevelyan in BBC’s The Crimson Field, and Zilpha Geary in Taboo.
Chaplin interest in acting piqued at a very tender age. She began studying drama on a scholarship at Gordonstoun School in Scotland when she was 15. Also, she appeared in several school plays, toured the United Kingdom in a Romeo and Juliet adaptation, and played Bottom in an adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Following her graduation from Gordonstoun, she was accepted into the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, where she graduated in 2007.
