British actress Nina Wadia, who has Indian ancestry, is best known for her role as Zainab Masood in the BBC soap opera “EastEnders.”

She gained notoriety for her portrayal of Mrs Hussein in the “Open All Hours” spin-off Still Open All Hours and for her work on the BBC Two sketch show “Goodness Gracious Me.”

Wadia is of Parsi descent and was born in Bombay. Sadly her parents are both deceased, and she has an elder brother and sister.
