American pop-country singer and songwriter Morgan Cole Wallen was born on May 13, 1993. He competed in the sixth season of The Voice, initially joining Usher’s team and then joining Adam Levine’s.
After being eliminated from the playoffs for that season, he secured a contract with Panacea Records, and his debut EP, Stand Alone, was released in 2015.
In 2016, Wallen joined Big Loud, and his debut album, If I Know Me, was made available in 2018. The album contains the songs “Up Down” (with Florida Georgia Line), “Whiskey Glasses,” and “Chasin’ You.” If I Know Me peaked at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums list.
In May 2020, Wallen was asked to leave Kid Rock’s restaurant in Nashville after being accused of acting unruly. The following October, he was not allowed to appear on Saturday Night Live due to video footage showing that he had broken NBC’s COVID-19 rules.
In a video that was made public in February 2021, Wallen is heard stumbling around on his own property while intoxicated. As a result of the incident, his record label briefly suspended him, and some significant American radio stations stopped playing his music. Despite the criticism, Wallen’s songs experienced a surge in popularity following the incident.
