Morgan Wallen was born on May 13, 1993, in Sneedville, Tennessee, to Tommy and Lesli Wallen. Tommy worked as a local church pastor for a time, while Lesli was a teacher. When he was a teenager, his family moved south to Knoxville, where he graduated from Gibbs High School.
He was a pitcher and shortstop for the high school baseball team and hoped to continue his career in college until he tore his ulnar collateral ligament his senior year Wallen studied the piano and violin as a child.
His father introduced him to classic rock mainstays, and he was raised with a diverse musical playlist. In his adolescence, he was influenced by bands such as Breaking Benjamin and Nickelback and rappers such as Lil Wayne.

Morgan was previously engaged to his son’s mother, his ex-fiance Katie Smith. They then gave birth to Indigo Wilder who has reached the age of two. On the 10th of July, 2020, he was born. Although, not much is known about Indigo. It is noted that his father spends much time with him and although his parents are divorced, they assist each other in taking care of Indigo.
