With a heavy heart, we humble announce the sudden passing of Max Woodward, an executive and producer at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts who for many years managed the creation of the center’s theater programming before retiring in 2016.

According to our well-trained correspondents, Max Woodward passed away from Alzheimer’s disease today( October 14 )in a Washington, D.C., care facility. He made his sudden departure at the age of 76.
Following his death, lots of tributes have flooded social media with many well-wishers expressing their heartfelt condolence to the deceased’s family.
Mr. Woodward began as an usher and gradually worked his way up through the accounting division, managing the Eisenhower Theatre before eventually taking charge of the Opera House, Terrace Theatre, and Concert Hall.
On June 20, 1946, Max Arthur Woodward was born in Masontown, Pennsylvania, which is a suburb of Pittsburgh.
He joined the Army in Frankfurt, Germany after completing his high school education in 1964, worked as a file clerk for the FBI, and then moved to Washington, D.C., in 1967 after his discharge.
