Martin John Christopher Freeman was born on September 8, 1971, and is mostly known as an English actor. He has won an Emmy, a BAFTA, and a Screen Actors Guild Award, and he has been nominated for a Golden Globe. Freeman’s most notable roles include Tim Canterbury in the mockumentary series The Office from 2001 to 2003, Dr John Watson in the British crime drama series Sherlock from 2010 to 2017, Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit film trilogy from 2012 to 2014, and Lester Nygaard in the first season of the dark comedy-crime drama series Fargo in 2014.
