Republican Party member Mark Edward Souder was an American-born politician. From 1995 to 2010, Mark served as a U.S. Representative for Indiana.
The renowned politician, Souder was born in Grabill, Indiana. He went to Leo Junior/Senior High School, Notre Dame University, and Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne.
He participated in Young Americans for Freedom while attending college.
In November 1994, Souder won a Republican nomination for the US House of Representatives.
The War on Drugs was backed by Souder. He wrote and argued in favor of the 1998 Aid Elimination Penalty (HEAEP).
Souder was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January 2022. He died of the disease on September 26, 2022, at the age of 72.
