The New England-based publicist, graphic designer, and freelance writer Marilyn Busch was born in Boston and graduated from RI College with a B.A. in Theatre Performance and then pursued a career in acting and directing. She started her professional career with Providence’s Perishable Theatre Arts Center as a performing artist.
Busch simultaneously worked on the admin side, first as a Publicist and soon as Director of Marketing & PR. As Perishable expanded their new play programs, classes and special artist events such as Diamanda Galas, and Philip Glass, Lisa Keon Marilyn was a key senior member of the artistic and administrative staff over the next 10 seasons.
