Chenal was named first-team All-American and honorable mention All-Big Ten Conference as a junior. He was named Butkus-Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year as a senior. Chenal has 20 tackles, two sacks, and two tackles for loss in 11 games this season.
Chenal was named offensive and defensive player of the year for small schools by the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association.
Chenal finished his high school career with 3,706 running yards and 68 touchdowns and 1,300 receiving yards and 17 touchdown grabs.
