Lauren Yaffe is a talented actor, producer, and author known for her flawless performances in the well-liked TV series West Side Story, A Journal for Jorden, and Halston. She excels in prodigious role-playing. The well-known performer has no desire to rise to fame.
Picture books and other juvenile novels are among Lauren’s other writing interests. Through her job, she prefers to share her love for the environment with young people. In compensation for her time, she frequently instructs toddlers and elementary school pupils in vermicomposting. She was able to find fulfilment in her writing novels and picture books for kids.

Two poems by Lauren, “Change in Light” and “Tears,” will appear in the spring 2012 issue of the Willow Review. She received the Writers’ Relief Peter K. Hixson Memorial Award in July 2011. It may be found in the Altered States Anthology under the title “A Woman of Letters.” She received a Pushcart Prize nomination in 2010 from the Beloit Poetry Journal.
