Lance Edward Armstrong, born September 18, 1971, is a former American professional road racer.
He was regarded as a sporting legend for winning the Tour de France seven times in a row from 1999 to 2005 after overcoming testicular cancer, but all of his victories were eventually stripped away after it was discovered that he had used performance-enhancing substances throughout his career.
Lance Armstrong wife, and children
Richard and Armstrong first spoke in June 1997. A boy and twin girls were born in October 1999 and May 1, 1998, respectively, after their marriage (born November 2001). Armstrong banked sperm three years earlier, before chemotherapy and surgery, which allowed for the pregnancies.
In 2003, the same year that Lance Armstrong started dating singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow, Lance and Kristin Armstrong announced their divorce.
Armstrong’s children went to Paris at his request for the 2005 Tour de France podium celebration, where his son Luke assisted their father in hoisting the trophy while his daughters (dressed in yellow) clutched the plush lion mascot and a bunch of yellow flowers.
