Kyle Maite, the guitarist for Hit the Lights, passed away untimely on Tuesday (Sept. 20) at the young age of 37.
The band announced the news on social media, revealing a pair of GoFundMe sites that had been set up to aid in raising money for Maite’s wife and children in addition to expressing their sorrow and loss in the statement.

Credible sources state that Kyle Maite was killed as a result of a vehicular accident he was involved in last week.
It was revealed that when Maite was not performing with the band, the musician worked as a linehaul driver for Old Dominion’s Columbus, Ohio, terminal.
Along with his extended family, he is survived by his wife Kalen, and his kids Cameron and Jordan.
Maite, who had previously played with The Rydells and Thief Club, joined the group in 2016 as a lead and rhythm guitarist.
