Kaley Cuoco is living her dream on a picturesque ranch in Thousand Oaks, northwest of Los Angeles, where she has created a magical place for her daughter Matilda and a variety of animals.
The “Based on a True Story” star, along with her partner, actor Tom Pelphrey, welcomed their daughter Matilda into the world, and Cuoco made it a priority to introduce her to animals from an early age. Cuoco jokingly shared, “Yeah, I said, ‘Matilda, if you don’t like animals, I’m sending you back. This is what’s going to happen.’ Luckily, one of her first words was dog, so it was mama, dada, dog, so that was a really good sign.”
At Cuoco’s ranch, Matilda has been introduced to horses, donkeys, chickens, goats, cows, and pigs, all of which have become part of their family. Cuoco, known for her advocacy for animal rescues, has expanded her love for animals to include farm animals and horses off the track. She shared, “Really anything with four legs is welcome here. We don’t turn anyone away. It’s become this magical place.”
Cuoco has been bringing Matilda to the ranch since she was just three weeks old, exposing her to the animals and teaching her responsibility and care for them. Cuoco mentioned how the animals have taken a liking to Matilda as well, with each animal showing her affection.
From enjoying the scenic views with a glass of wine to playing catch with her partner and bonding with their daughter, Cuoco treasures every moment spent on the ranch. She expressed, “We sit outside and just look at the view and have a glass of wine, and then it’s 8 p.m. because there’s no time here. This was my dream.”
For Cuoco, the ranch is not just a place—it’s a sanctuary where family, animals, and nature intertwine to create a harmonious environment for all to enjoy.
