Judy Tenuta passed away on Thursday. She was a bold stand-up comedian who jokingly dubbed herself the “Goddess of Love” and performed with George Carlin during the 1980s golden era of comedy. She had been alive for 72 years.
Publicist Roger Neal informed The Associated Press that Tenuta passed away on Thursday afternoon at her Los Angeles home with her family by her side.
She was a “really witty, fantastic performer,” and being around her was always enjoyable, according to Neal.
