Jonny Labey is a British actor, known for portraying the role of Paul Coker on the BBC soap opera EastEnders. Labey is from GrouvilleJersey, and was born on January 15, 1993 (age 29 years). Jonny Labey attended Grouville School and Victoria College and began dancing at the age of five.
Jonny Labey appeared in his first stage show at the age of eight as part of the Jersey Amateur Dramatic Club. In 2011, he left Jersey to take a BA course at the Doreen Bird College of Performance in Sidcup, London, and graduated in 2014.

Jonny Labey has appeared in stage shows including In the Heights and White Christmas. He appeared in Leon Lopez’s film Soft Lad and joined the cast of EastEnders in 2015, in the role of Paul Coker.

Labey appeared in EastEnders between 1 June 2015 and 8 September 2016, appearing in 106 episodes. His first role after leaving EastEnders was as the lead character, Rupert Brooke, in the play Verge of Strife, staged in Edinburgh in August 2016. In 2017, he was a contestant on ITV’s Dance Dance Dance.

In October 2019, Jonny Labey began competing in The X Factor: Celebrity, but he was eliminated in week 2 .  In 2022, he appeared in movies and tv shows such as; Doctors (2022), Dare To Dream (2022), and Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators (2022).

Jonny Labey awards and nominations

Jonny Labey has received two nominations in all and had been second in one of the awards. He was nominated for Inside Soap Awards for Best Affair in 2015 and Best Partnership in 2016. He was second in Digital Spy Reader Awards as The Best Newcomer.
