He is the only child in the family. He attended 12 different schools throughout the course of his 13-year education before enrolling at Concordia University in Oregon, where he played basketball.
Ellis worked as a public relations intern with the Portland Trail Blazers during the contentious “Jail Blazers” era.
After his apprenticeship was up, Ellis decided to pursue modelling and started working with Portland-based sportswear companies including Nike, Adidas, and Columbia Sportswear.
