Jason David Frank Dies: Cause of death revealed

Jason David Frank was born in Covina, Calif., and portrayed the green ranger and later the white ranger for the original “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” series. He joined the legendary franchise in 1993 as Tommy Oliver.

He was arguably the most popular character in the series and ultimately went on to reprise his role as Tommy in subsequent adaptations, playing different colored rangers.

Jason David Frank Dies: Cause of death revealed

The longest-lasting “Power Ranger” has died at the age of 49. Sources close to Frank confirmed to TMZ he passed away from suicide at the age of 49. However, the Associated Press reported Justine Hunt, Frank’s manager, said in a statement that Frank passed away, but did not name the cause of death or say when he died.

She also asked for the “privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being. A Houston resident, Frank was well known for his role as Tommy Oliver in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, where he made his debut as the green ranger in 1993.
