Gwendoline Christie, an English actress, was born on October 28, 1978.
She is most known for her performances as Brienne of Tarth in the HBO fantasy drama series Game of Thrones (2012-2019) and as Captain Phasma, a First Order stormtrooper, in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) and Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017). She received a Primetime Emmy nomination in 2019 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
