On Monday, November 14, Black Stars head coach Otto Addo revealed his final 26-man lineup for the FIFA World Cup in 2022.
Interestingly Qatar 2022 is only six days away, therefore at 11:00 GMT, the Ghanaian World Cup team had a press conference today. The meeting was to name the best 26 players for the Blackstars that had made it to the prestigious tournament which comes off every four years.
In 2006, the Black Stars made their international debut by earning a spot in the German-hosted World Cup. Also in 2010, the group made it to the 2010 world cup in South Africa.
Ghana’s performance at the World Cup was at its greatest in 2010 because they lost in the quarterfinals after being denied by Luis Suarez.
The Blackstars made their worst appearance in the subsequent World cup in 2014; the team was eliminated after the group stage, in the 2014 tournament in Brazil.
Below are the reactions from across the world following the release of the Ghanaian squad;
