Gene Perret dies: Cause of death revealed

Gene Perret was well renowned for writing humorous Three’s Company and The Carol Burnett Show episodes.

 

According to his daughter Linda Perret, the adored father passed away unexpectedly on November 15 at his Westlake Village, California, home from liver disease.
Perret spent the majority of his productive career contributing to “The Carol Burnett Show,” for which he garnered three Emmy Awards in 1974, 1975, and 1978 for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy-Variety or Music Series.
He was soon recognized by Hollywood insiders due to his star position, and he later contributed to “All in the Family,” “Welcome Back,” “Kotter,” and “Three’s Company.”

He died on 15th November, 2022 in West Lake, California, USA. Gene died due to liver failure in his Westlake village home.

All indications point to Perret leaving behind a long-lasting legacy of humor, this includes close friendship with Bob Hope.

Gene was a part of Bob Hope’s writing staff for twenty-eight years, the last twelve of which he spent in that capacity.
He traveled with the Hope company to several of the Christmas performances from war zones.
Three’s Company, Welcome Back Kotter, and The Tim Conway Show were all produced by him.
