Ben Kingsley and Alison Sutcliffe are identified as the parents of Ferdinand James M. Kingsley professionally known as Ferdinand Kingsley a British actor. He is known for portraying the roles of Hamza Bey in the film Dracula Untold, Mr. Francatelli in the television series Victoria, and Irving Thalberg in the film Mank.

Ben Kingsley who is the father of the famous actor Ferdinand Kingsley is also an English actor who has a career spanning over five decades. He has garnered numerous accolades, including an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, a Grammy Award, and two Golden Globes.
Ben was born Krishna Pandit Bhanji on December 31, 1943, in Snainton, North Riding of Yorkshire. His mother Anna Lyna Mary was an English actress and model, she was born out of wedlock, and “was loath to speak of her background”. His father Rahimtulla Harji Bhanji was born in the East Africa Protectorate which later became, in 1920, the Colony and Protectorate of Kenya to a family from the Indian city of Jamnagar, of Khoja Gujarati descent.
Ben grew up in Pendlebury, Lancashire. Although Ben’s father was a Gujarati Khoja who practiced Isma’ili Islam, Ben himself was not raised in his father’s faith and identifies as a Quaker. He was educated at the Manchester Grammar School, where one of his classmates was actor Robert Powell.
Ben went on to study at De La Salle College in Salford, which later became home to The Ben Kingsley Theatre. While at college, he became involved in amateur dramatics in Manchester, making his professional stage debut upon graduation at age 23.
After graduating in 1966, Ben was approached by music producer and manager Dick James. James, who was the publisher of The Beatles, offered to mould Kingsley into a pop star. Ben declined James’ offer and instead chose to join the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) in 1967 after an audition before Trevor Nunn.
Ben has been married four times and has four children. He first got married to actress Angela Morant and had two children namely Thomas Bhanji and artist Jasmin Bhanji. He then fell in love and married his second wife who was a theatrical director called Alison Sutcliffe with whom he had his two sons namely Edmund Kingsley and Ferdinand Kingsley both of whom became actors.

Alison Sutcliffe is a prolific British theatre director who, until 2011, was Artistic Director of The Bridge Project at the Bridge House Theatre, Warwick, during which time she created an ensemble theatre company that produced eleven productions. She has worked internationally, most notably with the Royal Shakespeare Company and on Broadway.
She married actor Ben Kingsley in 1978, and the two had sons before divorcing in 1992. She was married for 14 years.
The two are white and hail from Britain. The couple is still alive.
