Emma Thompson has been married twice already, she first met and fell in love with Kenneth Branagh. They met on the set of Fortunes of War back in 1987 and tied the knot two years later in 1989.
Emma believed that her marriage was going perfectly but turned sour. According to sources, Emma‘s marriage fell apart in 1995 after the truth of his affair with Helena Bonham Carter surfaced.
Emma found love again in Greg Wise and they’ve been married for 27 years as of 2022.
They crossed paths for the first time after meeting on the set of Sense and Sensibility back in 1995. Eight years later in 2003, they got married at a grand wedding.

Thompson was born in London on 15 April 1959. Her mother is the Scottish actress Phyllida Law, while her English father, Eric Thompson, was involved in theatre, and was the writer–narrator of the popular children’s television series The Magic Roundabout.
In 1967, her father had a heart attack, resulting from overwork and heavy smoking, and therefore changed his focus to directing. Eric died of a heart attack in London on 30 November 1982.

Sophie Thompson was born on 20 January 1962, she is a British actress who has worked in film, television, and theatre. A six-time Olivier Award nominee, she won the 1999 Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical for the London revival of Into the Woods. Her other nominations were for Wildest Dreams (1994), Company (1996), Clybourne Park (2011) Guys and Dolls (2016), and ‘Present Laughter’ (2019).
