Eddie Marsan was raised in Stepney, a neighborhood of London, England. Stepney is a neighborhood in the Tower Hamlets neighborhood of London’s East End.

The term “district” now refers to a very small area but is no longer formally defined.

The place name, however, was used to refer to a considerably bigger manor and parish throughout a considerable portion of its history.

English actor Edward Maurice Charles Marsan is well-known. For the movie Happy-Go-Lucky, he received the National Society of Film Critics Award and the London Film Critics Circle Award for Best Supporting Actor.

1992 saw Marsan make his debut appearance on television while working on The Piglet Files for London Weekend Television.

In the well-liked BBC sitcom Game On from the middle of the 1990s, he had one of his more notable early television appearances as an escaped convict who was an old flame of Mandy.
