In Delaware’s Magnolia, Harmon was raised. He was a Caesar Rodney Rider and went to Caesar Rodney High School in Camden, Delaware.
Harmon played football for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights from 2009 to 2012 while a student at Rutgers University. He was voted first-team All-Big East Conference at safety after his senior year in 2012, and he participated in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.
