On May 24, 1960, Doug Jones, an American actor, contortionist, and mime artist, was born.
He specializes in playing monsters that aren’t human, usually with the aid of detailed makeup and special effects.
He most notably collaborated with acclaimed director Guillermo del Toro on the motion pictures Mimic (1997), Hellboy (2004), Pan’s Labyrinth (2006), Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008), Crimson Peak (2015), and The Shape of Water (2017).
