In the first few minutes of the Netflix documentary Halftime, which debuted today (June 14), JLo is shown hoping to win an Oscar for her part in Hustlers, which she also co-produced.

Although anyone who has seen Hustlers would support JLo winning the Oscar, this was not the case.
She also didn’t win an award for her outstanding performance as the stripper Ramona, which wasn’t well-liked by her fans.
Lauran Dern won the prize for Best Supporting Actress in Marriage Story, beating out Margot Robbie, Kathy Bates, Florence Pugh, and Scarlett Johansson. The singer was passed over in favour of these actors.
JLo received a Golden Globe nomination for Actress in a Supporting Role. Laura also triumphed in that.
