Desmond Ridder, an American football quarterback for the National Football League’s Atlanta Falcons, was born on August 31, 1999.

As a true freshman, Ridder redshirted. He was named the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Rookie of the Year after earning the starting quarterback position for the Bearcats as a redshirt freshman.
He passed for 2,445 yards and 20 touchdowns and ran for 583 yards and five more.
In addition to rushing for 650 yards and five touchdowns as a redshirt sophomore, Ridder completed 179 of 325 passes for 2,164 yards, 18 touchdowns, and nine interceptions.
Following a 38-6 victory over Boston College, in which he ran for 105 yards and three touchdowns, he was voted the MVP of the 2020 Birmingham Bowl.
