The 34 years old Demetrius Shipp Jr. is an American actor, who was born on November 20, 1988. He portrayed actor and rapper Tupac Shakur in the 2017 biopic All Eyez on Me. He portrayed Tyrone Moore, a gang leader, in the movie All American.
Due to his strong resemblance to the well-known hip-hop singer, Shipp was encouraged to audition by a friend in 2011, and he was ultimately picked to play Tupac. Shipp admitted that he “never aspired to act” in an interview. Since primary photography did not begin until 2015, the film was not released until June 2017. Shipp’s father worked with Tupac Shakur on the song “Toss It Up” off the 1996 album The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory.
