Davy Klaassen, a midfielder for both the Netherlands national team and Eredivisie club Ajax, was born in the Netherlands on February 21, 1993.
Before moving on to HSV Wasmeer in 2003, Klaassen began playing football in the youth divisions of the neighbourhood amateur team HVV de Zebra’s.
A year later, he got admitted to the prestigious Ajax Youth Academy. In the 2011–12 season, Klaassen played for the Ajax A1 youth team, helping them to win the Nike Eredivisie league title and finish second behind Inter Milan in the NextGen Series (the under-19 version of the Champions League), which they lost on penalties (5–3) following a 1–1 tie after extra time.
