David Christopher Sheridan is an American actor, comedian, writer, producer, and musician. As an actor and comedian, he played Special Officer Doofy in the comedy Scary Movie. He has been active professionally from 1996 to the present. He began his career as an intern at Saturday Night Live during the 1991-1992 season.
Sheridan is well known for his role in Scary Movie (2000) as Officer Doofy. He portrayed the character Doug in the 2001 film Ghost World. Sheridan also appeared in the 2002 music videos for “By the Way” and “Universally Speaking” by Red Hot Chili Peppers. Sheridan toured with his band which was formed in 2004, Van Stone.
