Danilo Luis Hélio Pereira, better known by his football name Danilo Pereira, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays defensive midfielder or center back for Ligue 1 team Paris Saint-Germain and the Portugal national team. He was born on September 9, 1991.
On March 31, 2015, Pereira made his senior international debut, taking up for fellow rookie Bernardo Silva after 62 minutes of a 0-2 friendly loss to Cape Verde at Estoril. Fernando Santos, the team’s manager, also chose him for the UEFA Euro 2016 roster, and he scored his first goal in the final exhibition match, a 7-0 triumph over Estonia in Lisbon on June 8. In the French finals, he made five appearances for the victors.
