Actor Dalmar Abuzeid was born in Canada on October 23, 1990. He first gained notoriety for his 2004–2010 portrayal of Danny Van Zandt in Degrassi: The Next Generation.
Since Degrassi, he has had appearances in a number of TV shows, including Crawford (2018), The Comey Rule, Hemlock Grove (2015), Shoot the Messenger (2016), and Murdoch Mysteries (2014).
Abuzeid won an ACTRA Award and a Canadian Screen Award in 2019 for his work in the Netflix series Anne with an E, which received a lot of criticism. Abuzeid made history by becoming the first Black actor to play a part in the Anne of Green Gables media franchise.
